Easter is a celebration with a great gastronomic tradition in Mallorca. Most families or friends meet to cook typical recipes such as empanadas, rubiols or crespells !!!

The panadas: They are the traditional pastries of Easter. They are made from unleavened dough and carry a filling that can be of lamb meat, pork, peas or even fish; It depends on the taste of each one..personally we love those that have many peas or "chícharos".
The crespells: They are dry pasta made with flour, olive oil, lard, egg and sugar. They usually have the shape of stars, flowers or moons and, for those who like sweets more, they are usually sprinkled with icing sugar ... our children love them and every year they prepare crespells in school.
The Rubiols: This elaboration of sweet dough is one of the most typical of the island and can be filled with jam, angel hair, cottage cheese or chocolate. They are made with flour, lard, olive oil and egg. The most traditional filling is apricot jam .. delicious!
Frit de Pasqua: Also known as 'freixura', it is a typical dish of Mallorcan Easter. It is based on joining a variety of fritters to make a mixture of flavors. The traditional recipe is roasted lamb, garlic, chili pepper, onion, peppers, potatoes, peas and artichoke .. a pleasure for the palate ....
