Artá Caves
The Artá caves are located on the sea coast of the municipality of Capdepera, in Cap Vermell. They were formed when the mountain massif where they are located fractured. Canyamel Tower
This Muslim tower is located on the left side of the road that leads to Canyamel. It was built in the 13th century as a defence and watch tower for the local village. In 2009 reopened as a museum and as a venue for musical and artistic events.
Es Claper des Gegants
The Claper des Gegant or the Talayot de s'Heretat is one of the most important archaeological sites in the Balearic Islands and is relatively well preserved. It was a Talayotic village located in Canyamel, formed by various talayots with circular, rectangular and oval plan, protected by a wall with various portals, in addition to small constructions on the outside.
El Castell de Capdepera
This fortress located on the top of a hill that crowns the town of Capdepera was built in the 14th century by order of Jaume II to guard the area against the continuous Algerian naval incursions. Every third weekend of May, Capdepera goes back in time to enter the medieval times and the "Mercat Medieval" is celebrated largely in the Castell.
